How to Set Up the Army Job Simulator

This is a step-by-step guide on how to set up the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) Simulator. As a Recruiter, this mobile technology helps us set up wherever a recruiting event takes place. Interested leads can input their contact information and play a simulation on possible careers offered by the Army to see if it is a career that interests them. The lead's information is then sent to the Recruiter to stay in touch and potentially process the lead into a new Ohio Army National Guard member.
Disclaimer-
The use of this MOS Simulator is solely for the use of recruiting and informational purposes only. This does not guarantee that you are qualified to do the job you chose while participating. If you have a history of seizures or get dizzy with flashing lights, be cautious before using this device. There are many electrical components for this MOS Simulator to function. Please make sure to only use the provided power cords and certified outlets. Please also make sure to carefully place the cords strategically to reduce the risks of tripping hazards.
Supplies

Here is a list of items you will need to have an easy setup at your event.
- The MOS Simulator Carrying case which includes everything you need to get set up. This is provided by the Marketing department and for Government use only.
- Extension Cord (Optional)
- Table (optional)
- Location of an electrical outlet
Open the Box

Locate the 4 latches that are locked. Carefully lift up on each of the 4 latches towards the sky. Once all 4 latches are unlocked, you may open the carrying case and continue to the next step.
Take Out the Controller

You will see a Velcro strap securing the controller. Disconnect the straps and then place the controller to the side. Then lift up on the controller panel tray to begin step 3.
Setting Up the Monitor

After lifting up the controller panel tray, you will see the monitor. Carefully move the monitor screen up and toward your body to place the monitor in its set position. This will also allow you access to the CPU and the power supply box.
Supply Power to the MOS Simulator

Locate the loose grey power strip that has a female end and a 3-pronged male end. Located on the back of the carrying case, you will see a plug. Take the plug off and attach the power cord using the female end of the cord. Once that is secured, you will then plug the male end to an outlet in the wall, or a power surge protector. The MOS Simulator is now ready for power.
Plug in the Controller

Take the USB cord from the controller, and plug it into the CPU USB Port. This automatically syncs with the MOS Simulator's CPU.
Turn on the Power

Inside the box you will find a surge protector that has everything already plugged in that needs power. DO NOT UNPLUG ANYTHING ON THIS STRIP. Make sure to turn the power on the surge protector by pressing on the red power button. Lastly, locate where you plugged in the USB Controller, and press the Power button to the right. You will see a green light light up. This confirms you have successfully set up the MOS Simulator.
How to Use/play

You will hear music in the background and an instructor talking about the different careers the Army has to offer. When a lead is interested in learning more, have them answer the prompts so you have their information to keep in touch. Once they have filled out the lead information, they can choose between the 7 MOS fields. It will take them to a 3 minute simulation where they can compete with their friends for high scores and cool Ohio Army National Guard Swag! Congratulations! You have the coolest recruiting table at your event! Enjoy!
