DECLUTTERING THE LITTLE SHOP OF JARFOLD

The Little Shop of Jarfold had gotten to the point where I could no longer work safely, let alone find anything.
ALL THE WORK CARTS WERE PUSHED TO ONE SIDE.

When starting a large task, break it down into manageable pieces.
I TOSSED TOGETHER a SMALL PARTS STORAGE CASE

This will be a future Instructable. I have a lot more drawers to build. But for now it helped me get ridof some things just haphazardly strewn about the shop.
PIPE CLAMPS

My pipe clamps were always falling down. I built a better holder for them and notched it out to accomodate a drawer in the top corner of my small parts storage case.
SAWHORSES

These sawhorses constantly got in the way. Ah, that dead space next to the garage door was perfect. I put a couple of dowels into a board, screwed it into the studs, and drilled corresponding holes in the 2 x 4s on the top of the sawhorses.
THE JUMBLE JUNGLE

Where to start. I just took everything down and did one task at a time.
TAPE HOLDER AND EXTENSION CORDS

I redid the spacing on the French Cleats. The dowels on the tape holder were too close. I cut them all and respaced them. I organized the extension cords.
THE JIG IS UP

I hung all my jigs on the wall. I was running out of wall space.
LEAF BLOWER AND WEED WHACKER

Slowly I turned, step by step, and there was the back wall. Again using dowels, I created hangers for the leaf blower and those huge cords needed for the electric leaf blower and annual Xmas display. And for the gas-powered weed whacker.
VACUUM AND SWEEP

Then I vacuumed and swept, very satisfied with the results.
