This is how to make Chocolate covered strawberries using a Wilton Chocolate Heater. Chocolate covered Strawberries are an easy quick treat to make any time of the year.

  2. two paper plates or normal plates
  3. I bag of chocolate chips

  5. parchment paper (if using the pan or container this is highly recommended)
  6. Wilton Chocolate heater

Heater

The first step is to plug in the heater. This is the first step because you want the heater to be warming up, while you are prepping the strawberries.

Wash the Strawberries

The second thing you want to do after plugging in the heater is to wash the strawberries. This makes sure all the strawberries are clean.

Put the Chocolate Into the Heater

After washing the strawberries put them to the side and grab the bag of chocolate. Dump the entire bag of chocolate into the heater. If you have more strawberries than in the photos shown then you may want to add more chocolate, if you have less than shown you may want to add a little bit less chocolate. (For reference the container in the photo in step two has about 18 strawberries in it)

Stir the Melting Chocolate

After poring the chocolate into the heater you want to stir it regularly. The chocolate melts very fast.

Make Sure the Chocolate Is Fully Melted

IMG_0585.JPG

Before dipping the strawberries into the chocolate make sure it is fully melted and have no chocolate chunks in it. This will make it so the chocolate is smoother and easier to dunk.

Holding the Strawberries

IMG_0589.JPG

Before putting the strawberries into the chocolate you want to do a couple things. First make sure the strawberry if fully dry. You may want to dry it with a paper towel. This will make the chocolate stick better. You can also dunk the strawberries by either stabbing it with a fork or holding it by its stem. Once there is less chocolate if you are using the fork you may want to switch to hold the strawberries stem due to it being easier to dunk/coat the strawberries in the chocolate.

Dipping/coating the Strawberries

For this step you want to make sure almost all but the top/stem part of the strawberry is covered. Make sure that the strawberry is well coated on all sides.

Placing the Strawberries and Repeat

IMG_0595.JPG

After the strawberries are coated well on all sides you want to place it on whatever you are using to hold the strawberries/putting them in the refrigerator. Make sure the strawberries are not touching though! I used a cookie sheet pan and parchment paper. Repeat steps 6-8 until all the strawberries are coated.

Put the Strawberries in the Fridge

After all the strawberries are coated in the chocolate and put on what you are using to hold them (in this case the cookie sheet and parchment paper) Put them into the refrigerator until they have hardened.

Taking Them Out of the Refrigerator

Once the strawberries have hardened completely take them out of the refrigerator.

Serving
